My name is Veena and I’m running to be your Interprofessional Education (IPE) representative! I came to realize the importance of interdisciplinary teams in my time working in public health research because I’ve had the privilege to work with many types of healthcare providers to work towards a common goal. This experience makes me excited to be involved in helping others come together as a team, and has inspired me to run for this role! I’ve had experience creating and executing events for students during my previous undergraduate years as part of the Biology Students’ Association, and I trust that the skills gained from this will transfer to a possible role as IPE rep. I hope to help fellow students plan and engage in interdisciplinary events so we could all learn how to effectively work in healthcare! In addition, I am very easily contacted through email so I know I will be able to answer your questions promptly. I hope to portray my enthusiasm in representing the nursing perspective in the IPE team and to create, promote, and improve IPE events!
