KAYLA GRIMBY
Hello everyone! I will be running for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Associate Delegate during this school year. I’m a McMaster University Alumna (2019) having graduated from the Medical Radiation Sciences program. Being so passionate about healthcare and helping people has led me to meet all of you here at UofT; for a second healthcare degree (let’s hope I got it right this time!).
As a member of NUS, specifically in this role, I will work to provide you all with opportunities to get involved in improving health and health care. With an interdisciplinary background in the hospital setting, I’ve come to understand the power we all collectively hold to help grow the safety, improvement, and leadership skills within health care. Getting involved with IHI so early into your future careers will set everyone up to be the leaders and innovators of tomorrow! I am an enthusiastic individual that would like to help you get there.
Should I be a successful candidate, I would have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement (QI) projects with other students from interdisciplinary backgrounds, and help plan the annual IHI QI conference. Through this, I would be eager to pass the knowledge gained onto all of you and assist interested students in also getting involved.
