2. Tatenda Masama

Background: BScH Biochemistry, Queen’s University; Loyer-DaSilva Research Chair in Public Health Nursing Research Coordinator; Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Assistant; Kingston General Hospital volunteer

Hello Fellow First Year Bloomies! My name is Tatenda Masama and I am running to be your IPE First Year Representative.

As we begin our Clinical Placements and start navigating the world of nursing, it’s important to realize the collaborative nature of our profession. Working alongside respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and personal support workers is integral to delivering quality patient care, which is why U of T’s Interprofessional Education Curriculum is incredibly valuable.

As an IPE first year representative, I will utilize all of my collaborative skills acquired as the Research Coordinator to an International project in public health nursing involving registered nurses, physicians, and biostatisticians. This experience, alongside my personable and very approachable personality, is what will make me the right candidate for this position.

Vote for me for IPE!
