Amanda Reynolds

My name is Amanda and I am running for CNSA associate delegate! I am running for this position because, in a time where we are all physically distancing, it’s important to maintain connection and support with our fellow future nurses. We need a strong student voice and collective action from nursing students across Canada now more than ever. I hope to help foster connection between our program and other programs/organizations, to ensure we are up-to-date on the issues and inspirations affecting Canadian nursing students.

During my undergraduate studies, I have been in many student leadership roles. A position that will directly help me be the best CNSA delegate is when I was one of two undergraduate students on my university’s Gender Equity Advisory Committee, reporting to the Vice President. On the committee, I was able to note-take and consolidate information from conferences, advisory frameworks, and equitable best-practice proposals. This experience in information gathering and disseminating will make me a great CNSA associate delegate. My highest priority would be to accurately represent my peers and amplify your voice to facilitate improvement. As well, I hope to bring you timely updates on national trends affecting student nurses. Vote for me as your CNSA associate delegate so I can serve you best!
