Zaynashae Boreland
Hi everyone, my name is Zaynashae (she/her), but you can call me Z (Zee) or Zayna whichever nickname you like best.
I am applying for the Junior Director of Communications position and would love it if I could have your vote. In my previous undergrad degree, I was the uOttawa Student Ambassador Social Media Coordinator (that’s a mouth full). In that position I oversaw the @uOttawafuture social media pages (if you scroll back to April, you’ll see me living my best life) and I worked with the communications team for recruitment and created email campaigns that advertised upcoming recruitment events. In addition to those tasks, I was also the liaison between prospective students and different departments at the university from the faculty reps to the admissions office. As a senior on the team, I was also given the task of creating agendas and notes for the meetings along with other logistics. This job required a lot of organization and commitment, and I am prepared to work just as hard for NUS.
My passion for communications doesn’t stop there. I have always enjoyed creating and communicating with people through different mediums. If elected I will not only follow through with all the tasks that are expected of me, but I will also find ways to innovate and apply my skills of video editing and content creating to this team and the world of nursing.
